PsychRooms Suite Planned

Find a Board-approved
supervisor, finally.

Finding the right clinical supervisor with the right availability has always relied on word-of-mouth and cold outreach. Find a Supervisor is the first structured marketplace where Board-approved supervisors advertise their availability — and provisional psychologists can search, filter, and connect directly.

Find a Supervisor
⚠️
The Problem

Provisional psychologists spend months cold-emailing potential supervisors with no visibility of actual availability, specialty fit, or Board-approved status. For trainees in rural and regional areas, the barrier is even higher.

✅
The Solution

A verified, filterable directory of Board-approved supervisors — searchable by specialty, modality, location, availability, and supervision type. Supervisors advertise; provisional psychologists apply. Relationships are formalised with a digital Supervision Agreement inside PsychRooms.

Planned features

A curated, verified marketplace connecting provisional psychologists with Board-approved supervisors across Australia.

✅
Board-Approved Badge
Supervisors self-declare Board-approved status with date of approval — Phase 2 adds AHPRA API verification.
🗺️
Location & Telehealth Filters
Search by state, suburb radius, or telehealth-only — rural and regional trainees can find supervisors anywhere in Australia.
🎓
Specialty Matching
Filter by AoPE area — Clinical, Forensic, Health, Neuropsychology, Educational & Developmental, Counselling, Sport & Exercise.
🌏
Cultural Safety Flags
Supervisors declare First Nations, CALD, and LGBTQ+ affirmative experience — trainees can match to supervisors who understand their clients.
📋
Structured EOI
Formal expression of interest — trainee submits program details and optional Logbook hours summary. Supervisor accepts, declines, or requests a call.
✍️
Digital Supervision Agreement
Both parties sign a Supervision Agreement within PsychRooms — immutable via Sign & Lock. No PDFs emailed back and forth.
📊
Supervisor Capacity Indicator
Live display of how many of a supervisor's slots are currently filled — prevents applying to overloaded supervisors.
🆓
Standalone Access
Supervisors who aren't on PsychRooms can create a free listing — no full practice subscription required.
🔗

A relationship, not just a directory.

Find a Supervisor doesn't just list names. Once a supervisor accepts an EOI, both parties complete and sign a Supervision Agreement. That agreement activates the relationship inside PsychRooms — the trainee's Logbook links to the supervisor's Supervisor cohort automatically.

  • EOI → acceptance → digital Supervision Agreement
  • Agreement activates Logbook–Supervisor link
  • Supervisor load counter updates automatically
  • Supervision session history tracked from day one
🌏

Built for access and equity.

The supervision matching problem is worst for trainees outside metropolitan areas. Find a Supervisor defaults to showing telehealth-capable supervisors for rural and regional searches, and cultural safety filters help trainees find supervisors who understand their clients.

  • Telehealth default for rural/regional searches
  • Cultural safety flags: First Nations, CALD, LGBTQ+
  • Language matching for non-English-speaking trainees
  • Paid vs. unpaid supervision filter
